Cameran's music has both a narrative and emotive emphasis, concerned first and foremost with storytelling. He is stylistically informed by his classical training and takes inspiration from a broad variety of different acoustic and electronic sound worlds to create hybrid scores, infusing his music with different styles and technologies.
Cameran is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Screen Scoring at New York University’s Steinhardt School where he holds the prestigious Alan Menken and Piggott/BAFTA Scholarships. He has scored numerous projects, including Jesus Is Coming (2025) directed by Cameron Clay which was selected for the ASCAP Scoring Workshop, which featured a recording session at Reservoir Studios in Manhattan. The film went on to win the Focus Feature Short Film Award for which it was recognised at the Gotham Film Awards and Cameran received the ASCAP Foundation's Jimmy Van Heusen Award for his score.
In Summer 2025, he interned with Joy Music House in Los Angeles, aiding with various projects including music preparation for Emile Mosseri and their Score Production Workshop which allowed him to record his own music at the renowned EastWest Studios. He has recently worked as an orchestrator with composer Mandy Hoffman on Run Amok (2026) which premiered at Sundance Film Festival. His concert piece Rhapsody in C minor was one of four pieces selected for a reading by the NYU Orchestra and another piece Taking Flight was selected as runner-up for the 2026 Vanguard Composer Competition.
He completed his Bachelor's degree in Music at the University of Cambridge, receiving an award-winning double first-class grade, and where he held the Organ Scholarship at Magdalene College for three years and was President of the Magdalene Music Society in his final year. In addition to composing, he maintains an interest in choral directing, organ playing and music scholarship, most recently giving a paper on Thomas Newman’s score to Sam Mendes’ 1917 (2019) at the Music and the Moving Image Conference 2025 in New York City.
